I haven't been around enough to know you guys, and I was wondering what kind of music you guys listen to.
As for myself, I'm into some indie rock, like Explosions in the Sky, Ratatat, Broken Social Scene. And this hardcore band from Brooklyn, Gospel.
I also listen to certain Hip-Hop artists.
So what are you guys into?

I don't know what I like anymore. I used to like me some pop-punk. Green Day, Offspring, Blink182 and the like... but there are very few new bands like that coming out recently. It's all about the flash in the pan now adays. **** me sideways.... I must be old. On my playlist I have Punchline, Gogol Bordello, Flogging Molly, Sissor Sisters and The Killers.
I listen to mostly death metal, grindcore, and opera. Every once in a while I like to listen to traditional jazz. Technical Death Metal is my favorite genre though.

But uh . . . don't say I didn't warn you. Cause I'm warning you now. :)
Yeah, when I was younger my brother made me listen to Pharaoh Monch, I haven't listened to him in a while though.

Depends on the band really. I beleive 2% of any given style of any music is actually good.
I enjoy more Metal than any other genra. I was big into speed/thrash metal then I got into alternative, mainly grunge.
Lately I've been listening to High on Fire, Dimmu Borgir, System of a Down, and Opeth alot lately for some reason.
I aquired Epitaph by Necrophaist last night and enjoyed it dispite it being all cookie monster vocals.
I ramble too much.

Well I can't really describe his music but it falls under indie. It's just really well written songs with alot of instrumentals and stuff. If you've seen little miss sunshine there are two tracks in there from 'the avalanche' I think. The music just feels like a soundtrack.
Download the songs 'For Widows in Paradise', 'Chicago A.C' and 'The Avalanche'

I love Indie Rock. I'm really into singer/songwriters. I love alt country (and for those of you who don't know what that is: Old 97s, Wilco, Whiskeytown). I grew up listening to pop-punk and post hardcore music. I pretty much will listen to anything if it doesn't suck.

I looove Necrophagist. There isn't one weak link in that band IMO.

Hello average American. Did you catch American Idol last week? Man that Simon is a douch. Boy that one girl can sing though.

They suffer from what alot of technical metal bands suffer from, that's the riffs can blurr together althought they are technically different and stuff I could never play. Opeth somehow works in Melody to overcome this. BUt Necrophagist is brutal and I enjoyed them alot.
Glad I looked up the band members I didn't recognize in your super group.

I never thought I'd get into forum *****ing, but are you the type of guy who just hits "last page" and replies to whatever's there? I was making a joke on what Divadawg had written.
I listen to a huge amount of stuff from all different genres, and I'm always finding new things (thanks Bob Boilen!). I've recently been getting into John Fahey and Leo Kottke and others like them - what would they be called? Psycho Folk Acoustic Guitar Instrumentalists?
I'm desperatley waiting for a Dethklok album to come out!

From classic rock to classical, grunge to electronica, country to R&B, I like music from all genres. It's more or less the particular artist's style that makes me like or dislike it. I even like some rap. It just depends, but I have everything from chants to German death rock on my iPod that I listen to.

I pretty much run the gamut of metal subgenres, save black metal with a few exceptions (Cradle of Filth and OLD Samael). But yeah, melodic death the most, everything else plenty: prog, death, thrash, metalcore, what have you. My 35 gigs or so of music is about 94% metal variations. The rest is DMB, Peter Gabriel, Gregorian chant, and a leetle beeto techno.

Yeah my last college radio show I played Simon Says unedited, got into some shit over that one.
Any type of music is good.

I was born and raised in Detroit...hello, it's Motown. One night I had an epiphany. I had my radio on the usual R&B station, but for some reason I got up while I was half asleep and changed to a Top 40 station. By the morning I was truly fascinated with this new form of music, Genesis, Duran Duran, The Eurythmics, Culture Club..stuff none of my peers listened to.
Now I have a collection that includes, rock, metal, classical, pop, R&B, rap, alternative, country. In any given day I might listen to Coldplay, New Edition, The Killers, Josh Groban, Garbage, Depeche Mode, Brian McKnight, RHCP, The Dixie Chicks, Prince, Linkin Park, Seal...and these are a few of the artists that I've seen in concert too. But still, as mentioned, within each genre remaining pretty much in the middle of the road.
All the while I was younger I drove my mother crazy with my music. Had my little CD player playing all the time. Little did I know my baby brother, 14 years my junior was listening. By the time he got old enough to choose his own music, he branched out from the "R&B only" set too. Now I have someone to go to concerts with. You should see the looks we get, this tall 6'3" black dude at a Keane concert. :)
