Joss says that he's cast the role, but it sounds more of a joke than anything. The quote from a few days ago that I posted on these very forums (don't you people read my posts?) was:
"1) Wonder Woman has finally been cast. To no one's surprise, we eschewed all those tired movie and TV personalities and cast the interweb star "Lonelygirl", or whatever her actual name is. Congratulations, whomever!"
Sounds like it's still out there to me.

wow that it just complete bullshit. Like the rachel bilson thing someone claimed this and all the papers ran with the story. It came from Lindsey Lohan saying that she wanted to do wonder wonder in an interview. Then all the tabloids ran the story that she was the next wonder woman.
The claim that she is in the top running is totally unsubstantiated.

Is there really demand for a Wonder Woman movie? Who actually reads wonder woman comics? Who, under 30, even remembers the show? Who over 30 can say that the show was anything less than completely idiotic and lame? Hell, I'm close to the right age group and all I remember is that the chick who played wonder woman went crazy in the 90s or something. Or at least, she's the chick who pimps makeup on latenight infomercials.
Have you seen the movie from the 70s? It was a huge hit with feminists and comic officianados... hell Gloria Steinem even loved it. She's a great character that has not always had the film, TV and comic treatment that she should of. This doesn't mean that she should be abandoned. When I was a kid I loved the show. Besides... It's Joss Whedon, I have yet to see him do anything I haven't loved.

Lindsay Lohan is another one of those "Disney" manufactured "stars". She's been in half a dozen of their movies, and I think they tried to push her as a singer. They usually do with their teen girl actresses.
Frankly, I can't stand her. And the Disney channel *shoves* these girls in your face every commercial break. Like AJ and Ally. SO annoying.

I really think relatively unknown actors should be playing these superhero roles. I mean, for the majority of people superhero movies are already thought of as ridiculous (even with the good ones, they are still people running around in costumes), but to add even more hilarity by casting a famous coke whore, its just stupid.
Get more good unknown actors like they did with superman returns.
