With the renewed popularity of the Immortal Iron Fist, the appearance of the Karate Kid in Countdown, and Hawkeye's return in the guise of Ronin, does this mean that martial arts "hot" again?

No. No they sadly aren't. I think the only thing that kept Iron Fist afloat was the creative team cause fans of the character probably weren't enough by themselves. If they were ready for these again, Chuck Dixon would be one of the biggest writers out there again, but alas, his Richard Dragon book was canceled by issue ten or something sad like that. Ah well...
