I'm going to buy this, mostly cause the previous Marvel Knights titles (Spider-Man Reign and Silver Surfer Requiem) I thought were excellent! Plus, from what I've herd, the whole Cap looking for a replacement (which I hope is the correct plot, thats just what I've been told) would be a great story

I will pick it up even though i cant really afford to, it is so damn easy to justify adding a new 6 issues mini-series to the list...

People crap on me for loving JMS' Spidey...but Spider-Man Reign was probably the worst Spidey thing ever, IMO. Can't wait for the end of Requiem though.

For a good Marvel Knights Spidey? Who's read Millar's run? It's out in hard cover. Freakin great.

And I'm totally picking this up.

I will get this for art and Captain America alone.

The beauty of DCBS is that I can buy a miniseries on a whim and only end up dropping 10 dollars. So basically, if it interests me, I'll pre-order the first couple of issue and if it blows, I can drop it.

Books like this and Suicide Squad are benifactors of this phenomenon.

One of the great Spidey arcs of all time. Millar's run on this as well as his run on "Wolverine" are one of the only times these two books have been worth reading.

If this turns out to be good, I'll pick up the TP. I don't live near a comic store (I don't know if there's a good one in my county any more), and get most of my monthly stuff sent from an outfit in Oregon. Unfortunately, that means I don't get to check stuff out until it's been thoroughly hashed out.

The advantage, though, is that most everything I read is a winner.

I Agree, Millar's run of Spidey was great

I read an article about it on Newsarama…

…and it's definitely NOT about Cap finding a replacement. It takes place in Afghanistan after 9/11 and seems like it might be a more politically motivated book than his current ongoing. I'm not sure if you guy remember the Cap relaunch in Marvel Knights a few years ago, but besides the Ice storyline and the Truth mini, it was dreadful. It was way too political for my taste, and I have a feeling that is what this series is going to be like. I'm more looking forward to the Avengers/Invaders. That looks FANTASTIC!!!!
