Well I hate to turn the talk away from Question, but the rough draft for Man of Steel has been written and sent to the concept people.
A little spoilery, but its not like we didn't see this coming.

It's a superhero movie about the most iconographic/mainstream superhero there is, they can't really go complete crazy off the rails with the story.
We're getting the alien battle we've wanted, so we can't complain.

plus its really only a brief synopsis, but still, throw me a bone here. Singer's X-men movies weren't that predictable

There goes everyones "Well maybe it will turn out like X2" argument.

That's a pretty definitive statement for a script that hasn't even been written yet.

If they go the route of this synopsis then there goes everyones "Well maybe it will turn out like X2" argument, in the sense that it's going to be really predictable. That better?

That better?
Not really. I'd prefer not to judge the movie before it's even written/shot/edited/etc.

Well, it sounds pretty exciting to me. I mean, what does a good Superman movie need to have? A powerful villain that Supes can go toe-to-toe with, a tough-as-nails Lois Lane, Kryptonite, and a cat stuck in a tree. Superman Returns had only one of those four, so to be honest this news actually makes me hopeful.
I gotta say the article itself doesn't read "realistically"
HEY!!!! HERE'S THE PLOT!!!
FROM A SOURCE!!!!
I BELIEVE CAUSE I TRUST THE SOURCE, YOU SHOULD TOOO.
Just saying.:D
