WTF is it with certain comics that we by that suck ass? i recently bought Batman Monster 1,2, and 3. and i can't believe that DC would let such garbage be made. i've also bought the first two issues of The Intimidators...once again thery're garbage as well. i still have Toxic 2-4 and the newest Check Mate to read. if they suck i swear to god...anybody else feel this way about certain comics? or am i just in a rut?
I feel the desire to burn any comic Rob Leifield has worked on. Does that count?

vegasgeek I agree with you entirely. And I hate the expression "vote with you're dollar" how am I supposed to know that I don't like it before I buy it? And if it's a character I like how am I supposed to stay up to date on his continuity and when things start getting good if I stop buying it.

And if it's a character I like how am I supposed to stay up to date on his continuity and when things start getting good if I stop buying it.Well, there's the tricky part. I guess you do like I do, ask the drome (http://www.onewhowaits.com/geekdrome/thread.php?thread=1626). Of course, I didnt just miss a story line, I missed about a decade of marvel comics. heh.

r3v I was just referring to the a situation where lets say I'm buying amazing spider-man monthly and then they change artist or writer or both and suddenly it sucks. So I start *****ing about it and someone says in response well if you don't like it vote with your dollar.

Well, that would be the theory anyways.

Allstar batman and robin. the fact that it was slow to begin with it takes for ever for a new one to come out.

One of the best comics out right now is Star Wars Legacy. kick ass art, great writing (for the most part) if this adds to how bad ass it is...when they come in...i don't have a chance i'd have to be there when the store opens. needless to say...i hope this series lasts for a very long time.

He doesn't seem to be doing much now, but in the dark days of Chuck Austen (especially on Avengers) I had my lighter out more than once.

X-Men: The 198!
How did I fall for this!?! It was SO heavily touted and was a total piece of crap! And the Spiderman: The Other story line! What was THAT!?!?
Infinite Crisis is close on this list as well... ALMOST worth burning it was so convoluted.

that's easy. you'll know it's good, b/c Straczinsky is writing it. If they change writers (and I will slit my wrists when they do), just pick up a few issues and see if it's gone downhill. It'll take a while to know that though, so I see your dilemma. I say if it's a title you trust, pick it up even if you're unsure of a staff switch, if it's new, ask around, it's always worth it. Or like r3v said, ask the drome. the old drome, the new one, anyone. woo.

Rising Stars. DEAR GOD, the art was so terrible it made my eyes bleed . Every ****ing guy in that comic looked the same, and the layout was so confusing.

Dear god I couldn't agree more, holy crap. The Other was just so bad, WTF is up with Aunt May and MJ in iron man suits, that must have been the stupidest crap ever I've ever seen.
God damn, I hated that comic.
