Just got this in my email being a Rewards member. If you're a fan of Borders and are looking to pick up some trades this upcoming month, they're having a "Buy 4 get 5th free" sale. Now, I realize the prices at Borders aren't so hot, especially if you're buying in bulk, but my local Borders has a great selection so I'm all over it.

(plus, I'm sure there are 20% off coupons floating around out there - at least off one item)

Anyhow, here's the link (http://www.bordersstores.com/features/list.jsp?list=b4g5manga) if you're interested. Happy hunting.

Heh - yea...they didn't exactly market it right, but their intentions seem to be good. :D

Yea, I don't get Manga yet (still trying to wrap my head around popular trades). All I know is that they're in the same section at Borders, and the buy 4 get 1 applies to trades too.

Maybe it's the big japanese cartoon eyes.

It's a cool sale Borders is having. My fiance works there, and has a discount, but can't take advantage of that AND the sales. The discount is slightly better, but still it's a bummer.

Recently, a lot of Borders (at least California Borders) seem to have really boosted their trade paperback selection. I don't know if it's for the promo, or if it indicates a new focus for the store.

They have lots of manga. I've never been nuts about Manga, but anything that gets people reading (as opposed to watching the idiot box) is all right by me.

Have you actually finished it yet? The last time I heard anything about it you were still working on it?

The amount of time trying to finish the book should say something of my enthusiasm for it.

Well crafted? Certainly. Entertaining to me personally? Not really.

If that sale could be applied to the online store, that would be awesome, as they share sites with Amazon, how has nice discounts on trades. As it stands, you would save more money just buying through amazon.:(

I just took advantage of this to buy a bunch of books I've been wanting to check out but probably wouldn't have bought otherwise.

I got:
The Plain Janes
Re-Gifters
Clubbing
A History of Violence
Fun Home
and Concrete 1: Depths

I couldn't make up my mind, so I ended up getting an extra one…
All that came out to $60 and some change, not bad.
