I read this story when I was 14 and it's absolutely one of my favourite King works ever.

Darabont has promised a rough, hardcore creature feature with none of his characteristic indulgences.

Also, it was shot by the camera crew from THE SHIELD. And I vaguely remember someone once saying that that show was supposed to be pretty good.

Yeah, I'll definitely have to go read that.

I'm intrigued by the whole internal struggle between the people, in addition to the supernatural. If they can get that right, it might be a winner.
