I am glad they finally moved the chairs a bit but I still stand by what I have said many times before. The way they film the show from "below" just seems odd. I am not sure if they are going for a certain view, but it just doesn't work.
I think Om needs a pillow behind his back to prop him up a bit. Joyce sits high and straight with her legs out, while Om appears (i dont think he is purposely doing it) to slouch.
I would move the camera to be at his knees at the bottom of the screen. And tighten the shot so we can see the host's mouths moving.
Om - c'mon get some NYC in you already - you want to bring it out I can feel it. I will bring you a large pie when I come to SF next month to spearhead the Om Power :)

I'm just gonna come right out and say it: Joyce's legs looked AMAZING in this ep.

I don't quite get the argument against the camera angle. If anything it's slightly high; you typically want the camera below eye level to avoid distorting people's features in the image. I think maybe what's throwing you off is how far apart they are sitting, which means you get more vertical coverage than say the tighter angle in Diggnation.
I definitely dig the new GigaOM globo in the background. I also found Konrad to be much more engaging than Bill… Bill came off a bit like he filtered his answers through a dilbert management caricature. I think they hit the relevant issues, but some bits were clouded by "verbosity," for lack of a better term.

Re-watchng ep 6 for *camera-angles*
Personally, *i* like the comfy, home-style feel of the show.
Which contrasts to the v. apparent fact that they are talking
tech rather than trading recepies.
I'd *still* say - leave it alone...
--or-- have two ep's where you vary the camera angles
and such (like that's gonna be a *simple* matter for the
tech crew!) and let us watch/review them. me? i'm from
(mostly) live theatre, so we don't get the chance to
zoom-in, close up then HARD CUT to med-view of om or joyce.
the prob is that we (if i might include such a pronoun for now)
are having *imediate* access to the show and we CAN REALLY
SCREW THINGS UP -- ooooh, i can't stand joyce's "last season shoes"
-- ie, ref to "Legally Blonde", etc, etc, etc, etc, etc.
people: you have to understand what it's like (and don't i know
i'm gonna get flamed on this) IN THE CAMERA -- there is a
*damned* good reason that i handle flats, painting, and such
and *v* rarely -- usualy there's no one as olde' as me around
to play the part as "the drunken father" or the "grandfather with
the map" - don't ask.
Me?
live, 13 b2b (back-to-back) shows in 3 weeks at TWO locations,
om? joyce (ohn-yohg-h'say-yoh) - studied Korean when i was
taking "asian art" -- DON"T let the goats (including this olde' one)
pick your nits until there is nothing left, save empty space and you
-- another twain quote that came up (about 9 mins in).
you guys ARE the show.
/// how do i do a vote-ie thing ???
1) the vector of opposites: old vs new ; btw: loved the "squishy thing"
and (the posted: legs)...
2) the direct and juxtaposed concepts of HOW THE GUESTS ARE seated.
...(refer to "David Suskind", "David Frost" from the '70's)....
3) tech stuff - you (ie US vid'er's) HAVE to be f-o-c-u-s-e-d.
4)... sorry, i'm out..
...(got a v. nice drink a-waiting for me)...
************* BONUS TRACK *************
one thing to rember is this:
India and Korea are *Inter-nationally* known for being v. polite societies)
that is: our two hosts (tips towel twice) are (because of their
cultural b/g able to post *the* hard questions.
about 14:10 (joyce - puts the point "they've just come out with
a set of stds...)
she : the "good cop"
he: the "bad cop"
-- le'ts make sure that they (you - o & j) don't react TOO quickly
(or not - me, i'm old school ...
.. night all...
(have to get up extra early in the morning to record on my
victrola the lastest Dr. Who episode that i'll be getting
WHAT ??? 16:23 - tech maths!!!! that's (to borrow a phrase from o)
BULL SHIT - it's all "turtles down below"
about 2% , in the industry, we've gotten a little ahead of ourselves...
... sorry, gotta go .. my mom needs help put-ing up the choc pie into
the fridge...

TECH PGM'R NOTE.
=============
One point is order: Om (in his rant - love those!
*honesty* on the web????)
anyway, the idea that you can "measure everthing"
22:11 about into the show. (22:25)
the prob is that a 2-second hit might be more important
than a 3-minute hit; eg, the first might be PAID-FOR
D/Ld and the other might be a pre-paid CMCL - "start your
own biz", etc.
so, there's prob more to this -- links prov'd by the guests
and posted to sort of follow-up newsletter.
********* New speek stuff:
"web site hits" - how many accesses (of *any* length)
Hit - a request for a file from the web server; ie,
may be an FTP, or an ad, or EVEN "just a ping".
Page View - a request for a file whose type is defined
as a "page" in log analysis; sound fishy to
me - think pop-up ad, or any singlt html page;
each of which may (probably will) requie several
"hits" to build up all of the snazzy content.
Session - A series of requests form the same uniquely
identified client with a set time-out; ie, "auto-log out".
Unique Visitor - A uniquely identified client generating
requests on the web server, or viewing
withing a defined time.
Impression - An impression is counted each time an ad loads
on a user's screen.
Singletons - The number of vistis where only a single page is
viewed.
