You know, I'm normally the type who's against rediculous settlements in court cases, but I think this guy deserved more money.

Now, I could understand if it was an organ or a piece of skin from my face or my penis or something, but it's something that no one will ever see and is actually beneficial to my health, like my penis. aw. I feel sad now. :(

Well, after you sue them for everything they have, how could they possibly server the needs of the public? You run up the cost of everything, insurance, malpractice insurance, basic healthcare, etc. Eventually the hospital closes down and the people who require care cannot receive it. People die unnecessarily and go undiagnosed. When a massive viral outbreak occurs, the hospitals that are left will be understaffed and overbooked and more people will die. Students who wish to go into the medical field change their minds because they don't want to waste 12 years on school only to be taken to the cleaners after they open a practice, more people die.

My point is that people throw around lawsuits like it's going out of style. You should only sue hospitals if they really **** up, like giving a guy a hysterectomy or cutting off the wrong leg, etc, etc.
