I know Alex was just rambling through places they could go...but when I heard MI mentioned it got me excited!
Hopefully there's enough interest in a live show in the Detroit area, wouldn't be that hard to find a bar to hold a few people.
Any other metro Detroit Diggnation listners?

Yes, I too am an avid Diggnation listener and a resident of Metro Detroit. I know many others who live here and listen to Diggnation, and several groups that could help promote a diggnation event in Detroit!
When and where did Alex mention Detroit as a place to go?

I'm over in Ann Arbor, I'd come out for sure. There are some good bars out this way that would be perfect I would think, driving to downtown Detroit is always a pain. And to be frank...it kind of sucks down there, but I'd probably still try and make it out, providing parking wasn't rediculous

i asked kevin and alex when i was at the digg offices, and they said they wanted to go around to see audiences who wouldnt normally get to see live tapings otherwise. in the same convesation though, they want to get to the uk and AUS.

I am a Metro-Detroiter going to college on the West Side, so anyplace in Michigan would work for me. I would love to see a live taping in MI.

Dubb, where at? I'm from GR too...well the South West side, really south. Down in Byron Center now, grew up in Kentwood.
Oh and yes, Kevin & Alex really need to come to MI. Anywhere in the state is fine with me. I'll make the drive, even if MI doesn't work out, they've both mentioned somewhere on the east coast. You guys should set something up for this Fall/Winter

Anyone know what day that usually record the show? On the off chance they come (though it does look like there as been quite a response) I was wondering.
I'm guessing with the release schedule that it is a weekday, which would actually be perfect

I could be completely wrong but I thought the show was done/recorded on Thursday. Then encoded and posted for the donating members of Digg on Saturday evenings and to the general public on Tuesday evenings. Correct me if I'm wrong

that sounds about right. It doesn't give me a lot of recovery time from the hangover, but it works. haha

ashley's would be a great fit, but i'm not sure it's big enough. great idea though by all. I'm from flint and I'd be down for driving nearly anywhere in the lower peninsula

Yeah, I was thinking about the size issues with it. There are a lot of tables that I think could be moved for filming, but then there would be a lot of people too
You don't live in Flint by choice do you? :)

I think the perfect place for a Diggnation taping in metro Detroit would be at Leopold Bros. in Ann Arbor. Space is not an issue there, and they are a great brewery. It's like being in a big warehouse with picnic tables.

If they tape a show at ann arbor, I'd definitely go. I've been wanting to go to a live taping for awhile now. It would be even cooler if they came to Chicago, but whatev..:cool:

AA would get UorM, EMU, and to a lesser extent WCC. WMU and MSU wouldn't be too terribly far either. Then anyone from the suberbs of Detroit is a strait shot down 94 or 14

Ann Arbor is also good because it is pretty close to the airport.
I would be more then willing to drive from Flint (live there for the excitement) to almost any where in Michigan.

I know... I doubt that the Diggnation crew would be able to get out alive with their equipment.
With in the last 3 years or so... my car has been broken into 3 times.
One of which they broke my drive side lock, drive side handle, sunroof, and trunk lock. Just so they could steal a 3-4 year old stereo. Yet I still want to put a computer in my car (there are plans for a car alarm sometime this year)
