Everyone see Alex's rant about TRS on Diggnation 113? My guess is, the total number of Diggnation downloads are much greater than that of TRS's. Alex expects everyone who watches Diggnation to watch TRS also.

I've been watching TRS since its release, and it instantly became my favorite Revision3 show! Its so good, and the visuals are awesome! The green screen stuff is amazing! I think Alex is just dissapointed that TRS doesnt have nearly as many DLs per week, as Diggnation does. Anyways, Alex, Jeff, Dan & Steve, keep up the great work!

Diggnation is the flagship show of Rev3, this is to be expected.

yeah, of course this is gonna happen. I haven't seen the latest diggnation yet, but TRS is only 20 some episodes in, while diggnation is at 113.....give it time. TRS will catch on, it is just as infectious as diggnation (moreso in my opinion).

Same. TRS has completely surpassed Diggnation in my heart.

TRS is a much better show overall than Diggnation, and will probably build a much stronger/more loyal fan base for it. But to compare it by ratings isn't quite fair. Diggnation had a HUGE advertising aspect because of Digg.com. Just like iFanboy had a built in audience because of their website. To demand that an audience grow as quickly as Diggnation did would be silly and simply not good business. I would hate for anyone, including the show hosts, to fall into Fox-think and not realize that almost every good televisions show (perfect example: Seinfeld) took over a year to see any type of ratings.

What would be interesting is to view the demographics of the audiences involved. (I am such a statistics geek)

Also, I was thinking, why does Diggnation have a beer website and yet there is no bring TRS out to your area website. Heck I also listen to Farpoint Media productions and they have a Con page to help fund them to go to different Cons. I would gladly donate to such a worth venture.

I have more anticipation for the TRS releases on Wednesday than anything else I currently do on the internet. I'm so glad that it not only exists, but kicks so much ass.

Its the only show on Revision 3 that I'd pay weekly to watch. I think that says something about its content and quality. It's also the only "podcast" that I consider a "TV Show".

You guys do great work, and I applaud you. Thanks so much.

They should make an advertismet for all of the Rev3 shows and put it in the Diggnation RSS feed. Hmm, that's sounds like a challenge...

Personally speaking, while I love Digg Nation, TRS has it in spades. Its certainly funnier, more entertaining, and most importantly goes more in-depth than they ever could on Digg Nation. Its a show for nerds, by nerds, probably the best thing since they killed The Screen Savers all those years ago...

I hope that most of the Digg Nation viewers check it out, there isn't any reason not to. I got into the game too late (and I regret it), but every episode is continually better. I keep trying to get my friends on GTPlanet to watch (so far, only somewhat successful), get kids at school to pick it up, and maybe the folks at work while I'm at it...

Keep up the good work guys. You're only a few shows in, give it time!

I came to TRS via Diggnation, but much prefer TRS because it's dedicated to my passions, movies & gaming. It helps that the actual style of the show and it's hosts, kick some serious ass.

Digg didn't get popular cause it's bad. I like Digg for its reasons while I love TRS for theirs. Two different styles of shows and they both are perfect at what they want to be. Apples and Oranges...they taste different but both are good for you.

TRS is young...and still building up their foundation...and so far we all agree it's gonna be a damn fine house to visit and spend time in.

Dan brought dromers, Alex brought Diggers . . . and Jeff - well, he's just one of those people that fit the "to know him is to like him" quote . . . or since it is a podcast, "to see him is to like him."

The only trouble TRS has . . . is being out of bubblegum.

You know, I'd like to see the exact numbers as to how many people download diggnation as opposed to TRS. Also, I wonder what brought on Alex's speech this week, as opposed to some other?

To me.. TRS is a show. Diggnation is a sneak peek into the lives of two guys on a couch. When Beavis and Butthead were sitting on their couches watching videos.. that's Diggnation. When they were in school or doing their movie thing, that's TRS.... to me. Both rocked.. but rocked differently.

The analogy above made more sense in my head.. so your understanding mileage may vary.

I was leaning towards TRS being better.. but after this weeks Diggnation LOL, good times.

Maybe Alex, (Probably) Jeff, or Dan will talk about the subject.

Jeff is the actual "forums" dude!

Okay, enough buttering me up, I'll comment. :)

We are not in trouble. No need to worry, gang. Our numbers are quite good, and the show is growing. We'd just like it to grow faster ;)

The fact is, if we get a bigger audience (and hence, more advertisers), we'll be able to do a lot more things with the show. Things we're excited about, but don't have the budget or time (since we have to work other jobs) to implement.

Alex was just expressing his surprise that there are many people who watch Diggnation who haven't even given TRS a try. Maybe our show isn't for everyone, but we think if people like Diggnation enough to keep watching it, they'd at least take a look at one episode of TRS.

We're working on ways to expand our audience. We feel like there are a bunch of people out there who'd really enjoy TRS, but don't even know about it. So tell your friends about the show! We appreciate it!

Thanks for the support, gang, it really means a lot to all of us.
-Jeff

I love TRS. It's the only podcast that I make time to watch. It is the ONLY podcast that my wife and I watch together. It completely transcends the genre. TRS is an important example of the positive evolution of the video entertainment podcast.

That being said, I think that it is unrealistic to expect TRS to instantly capture the same viewership as "diggnation." Alex himself and Revision3 are really the only common factors. "Diggnation" is really a digg.com phenomenon. People who go to digg.com also download "diggnation." Although '"diggnation" depends on Kevin and Alex for flavor, the success of "diggnation" has more to do with digg and less to do with the personalities of Kevin and Alex than the success of digg.com.

On the other hand, TRS rides completely on the personalities of it's four hosts, yes four. Alex, Jeff, Dan and Steve all leave they're respective stamps. But since TRS is not about digg, you can't expect digg users to naturally gravitate toward it.

BTW, I got my TRS T-shirt and immediately began the evangelism.

Jeff, on your bio page on veryangryneighbors it links to returningchamps.com but, while it says that on the page, the link itself goes to returningShamps.com so you might want to fix that :(

also, that monkey on the banner is cute ^_^

Yeah, I knew Alex must have beeb comparing the Diggnation to TRS numbers. Diggnation is the place where I believe TRS was even first talked about in the first place, thats how I found it, and I LOVE the show!
