I've been noticing a lot show suggestions that center around particular projects. However, the SYSTM shows themselves have focused on either a particular tool or a particular technique. Whereas, I understand the "teach a man to fish" philosophy of this approach. It seems that some of the more unimaginative viewers still prefer the cooking show, step-by-step, project-wise approach.
I consider SYSTM to be the New Yankee Workshop (http://www.newyankee.com/index.shtml) of tech. Perhaps, a series of programs that feature cool larger project that requires multiple tools and techniques. The project could span many episodes as you stealthily build a took kit and skill set, one episode at a time. This could be more engaging to the less abstract.
