I would imagine that burns, but to be honest, apple loves the mass market, and makes little (if any) effort to cater to enthusiasts. The closed platform is a perfect example of that philosophy.

After seeing the ipod news today, I'm tempted to drop my Zune status for a ipod touch. Actual usefull wi-fi(tentative) and a lack of good Zune hacks may just be the tipping point.
