Actually, that's a mistake on our part and needs to be fixed. The Revision3 Gazette is a feature for members only, not because we want to leave anyone out, but because we want to give our members more reasons to love us!

For those of you who can watch, I hope you enjoy it. Membership has its benefits. :)

You also might want to check the thread titled "Worth it?" The title alone indicates it's the same question.

I'm guessing they didn't anticipate this when they came up with the members only graphic in the flash player. Now they have to have two options when it's members only and that messes up the flash video ajax or something???:p

Personally I think that this is a good show and a great way for Rev 3 to finally have some members only content that makes it worth their hard earned money. Until now all they really had was early episodes of what was only Diggnation.

Also it was a great decsion to use Sarah Lane as the host. Though I had heard rumors she was working at Rev 3 now her role wasnt 100% clear. Glad to see she is our tour guide to the new sets, or atleast the production space. Makes me wish i could afford the membership fees......blast you useless underpaying job.

This question has been asked and answered in other threads.

Suffice it to say, donation isn't a quid pro quo. It's not a value added transaction. People who donate are helping to support Revision3. They don't donate out of expectation of return or for a feeling of entitlement. However, Revision3 is nice enough to throw out the occasional exclusive to subscribing members.

If people who don't donate feel excluded, that's what exclusive content does.

I dont think it was ever said straight forward, but in an interview kevin mentions something like he had a gf and the money they were gonna use for a house. he spent on digg.com and so through deductive reasoning you figure out its sarah, but they have both moved on, and are friends now so i dont really think its a big deal.

I was rather worried that this sorta of converstation may get started on here. Listen its just as most anyone with a bit of a brain would say Kevin and Sarah dated, they had a good time together it didnt work out so they decided to part ways but on friendly terms from what i remember.

Then Kevin went on to found digg.com it blew up into what it has and Sarah had come off her year trip with her husband and she needed a job. Lets face it as popular as she was on TechTV/G4 it would have a been a bad move on anyones part not to approach her to start work at Rev 3 on the production side.

In truth i should be ashamed of myself im prepetuating the idea that i want to discourage by just trying to give this idea out to others. However there will always be those who will believe what they want despite fact and truth staring right back at them.

Even if that story was true, so what?! My girlfriend and I don't always agree on how money should be spent, but we don't hate each other over that; that's what mature people do...

I still think that they should time-limit these exclusives... It's a shame that someone as popular as you Sarah doesn't contribute to a flagship Revision3 show like Diggnation or Systm became. If Revision3 is working on a secret show, they really should come out of the closet and tell us about it already! >_<

I'm pretty sure Kevin isn't as into the day to day stuff at Rev3. That probably wasn't the plan at the begining, but Prager is always the man with the straight dope on Diggnation or TWIT even. Digg and Pownce take up a lot of time I'd imagine. Kev is probably a part owner, but I'm guessing some of the other people are getting pieces as well.

I think what she is referring to is when Kevin gets interviewed he plugs all of the networks together and it makes a good news story about the jillion dollar intraweb kid.
