This morning at precisely 1:30am I defeated Bane and thusly completed PuzzleQuest on my DS. Getting to this point has been a long and arduous task, dating back to April when episode 2 of the show birthed my desire to both own a DS and to play this holy grail of gaming.

A month and a half later I turned 30 and my two rad dudes here in the UK bought me a DS as a present, echoing a console gift trend set by my American cousins. Before long I was combing jewels, skulls, coins and purply star things as I took my first steps on the path to gaming nirvana.

Since those first steps, it's rare that a day has passed that I haven't had at least one or two battles in that fantasy world and eventually after four months of gaming, I can rest. My Journey is over, level 50 has been attained and all Quests successfully completed, now only pointless challenges remain (like capturing an Arboleth? meh).

So to Jeff, Dan, Alex and Steve, thanks guys for making such a great show and thanks for showing such boundless enthusiasm for PuzzleQuest. I had a blast playing that game and I look forward to future recommendations!

To anyone else who may have played or be playing PuzzleQuest, here are the stats my warrior finished with and the main tools he ended the game using...

Profession: Warrior
Level: 50
Gold: 3687
XP: 78632

Earth: 20
Fire: 40
Air: 19
Water: 19
Battle: 38
Cunning: 30
Morale: 30

Helm: Medal of Selentia (Double XP gained in combat)
Clothing: Fire Clasp (+7 to Fire, +16 to Red Mana at start of combat)
Weapon: Poison Edge (+7 to Damage when you do over 6, +40% chance to poison opponent)
Misc: Wind Eye (+6 to all Mana reserves when opponent casts a spell, +8 to Yellow mana at start of combat)

Spells: Wild Lore, Enrage, Beserk Rage, Singing Blades, Stone Gaze, Chill Touch

Mount: Giant Rat (Level 20)

Beserk Rage was by far and away the single most effective weapon in my arsenal.
