How did you help again?
By sharing with 30 other people that could have downloaded it directly from Rev3 in 1/4 the time it takes to torrent it?
Were you using the Rev3 tracker? If not, you haven't helped either because those 30 downloads don't count on the stats.

...So you b*tch him out for saving Rev3 some bandwidth and helping seed the torrent download. Who the hell are you to judge him for using torrents instead of direct http downloads? Now mind you, it would have been one thing if you asked if it was a Rev3 tracker before you b*tched him out (that way at least we know you were assuming he didn't) but you didn't. Hooray mods, not thinking before they speak because they have a banstick. Seriously...I've had it with these forums. This here is an open invitation to ban me for any amount of time you well choose. Of course leaving the Totally Rad Show forums open would be nice ^_^
And to you Zork....wtf kind of connection do you have? Thats redonkulous.

Trolling? Right. Did you read what Token said? The guys just showing how much he uploaded of a torrent and Token is all "WOOP DEE DOO YOU DIDN'T HELP! BLAHBLAHBLAH"
Trolling is when you say something controversial just to get people arguing. This isn't an argument.
Edit: Heres a good example of trolling. http://revision3.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9678

I'm confused...
You guys know that Diggnation is available as a torrent download directly from the Diggnation page, right? I don't see how these downloads wouldn't count for anytihng. If they didn't then I can't imagine why Revision3 would even keep them.

The advertisers to need to know the numbers. The more people that download from Revision3, the more money the get. And I'm pretty sure I've heard that the advertisers don't accept numbers from third party sources, especially not torrent. Oh and Revision3 doesn't need help with bandwith, they use Cachefly.

FIRSTLY: I am not going to ban you for stating an opposing opinion. Nothing you said violated the ToS for the site, so why would you even bring it up?
SECONDLY: Its faster to download straight from Rev3 due to them using CacheFly than via a torrent.
THIRDLY: BT is only effective if a lot of people are downloading the same content, so it might be OK for the initial day or two of release, but after that download speeds will degrade dramatically because there are not as many peers on the network. THe direct feeds do not have that problem.
FORTHLY?: I asked if he used the Rev3 Tracker. Reread what I said. It hasn't been editted in any way. Unless you are using the Rev3 tracker, these results HURT Rev3 - since that is 30 fewer people that are recorded as having downloaded the content.
Before you b*tch ME out - reread what I said, and try to deny the truth in any of it.

I guess there's nothing wrong with hurting Revision3 anyway, I mean I guess I'm already hurting them by not paying $5 a month for certain shows. Ah, but then that proves the point that regular members contribute just as much (because of download numbers). I'm kind of being sarcastic when I say this because all-in-all I like Revision3. I'm just stating a very true point. :D

Token you don't get it. None of your post even addressed what I'm talking about.
You attacked him for sharing via bit torrent. I didn't ask your opinion of bit torrent. I didn't even say its better. I just don't get why you went off on him for posting that he uploaded a lot on the torrent version. Also, I know you asked if it was a Rev3 tracker but that was after you already were getting on him about the torrent so I figured it wasn't your main point. If you were assuming the entire time that he wasn't using a Rev3 tracker then I see why you'd be mad at him (although assuming is still bad), but if you were assuming he used Revision3's legit tracker I don't know what makes you think its good idea to jump on him for showing how much he shared.
In case that was all too confusing let me break it down:
SECONDLY: Its faster to download straight from Rev3 due to them using CacheFly than via a torrent.
Yes...thats kind of obvious. There was no argument about that.
THIRDLY: BT is only effective if a lot of people are downloading the same content, so it might be OK for the initial day or two of release, but after that download speeds will degrade dramatically because there are not as many peers on the network. THe direct feeds do not have that problem.
...? Still not relevant to my post
FORTHLY?: I asked if he used the Rev3 Tracker. Reread what I said. It hasn't been editted in any way. Unless you are using the Rev3 tracker, these results HURT Rev3 - since that is 30 fewer people that are recorded as having downloaded the content.
Heres what you wrote: "How did you help again?

BEFORE you asked if it was Rev3 tracker you were already just bashing him and saying he didn't help. Whether or not you think he did help (which I don't see how you could logically think that considering he seeded a ton to people who obviously wanted it through BT) you didn't just tell him that BT wasn't that helpful - you just went off on him as if to try and degrade him.

Wow - convincing argument. You *should* be running for president ...
1. I didn't "go off" at him. I asked how he helped, and ...
2. He didn't help anyone. Its faster to DL straight from Rev3 than via BT. You agree with that point. YOU BASTARD! STOP SUPPORTING MY ARGUMENTS!
3. I asked if he used the Rev3 tracker ... and that is a valid point. It came AFTER my first point because I wanted to make sure he (and others) knew that the direct DL was faster (which again, I think you agree with as well). To me it was a secondary point, the main one being IT IS FASTER TO DOWNLOAD DIRECTLY THAN VIA BIT TORRENT.
So - I think YOU missed the point. Its not a big conspiracy. Stop trying to make it out to be one, especially when your "rebuttle" AGREES with my argument.

Heck, he convinced me that he doesn't read posts before he responses to them...but, who does.
In fact, I get the feeling that talking about this is more like a bunch of fellows sitting in a circle only watching each other masturbate rather than a honest circle-jerk. That's not really a flame, is it?
The only reason they have the BT files at all is so people can use BT clients to aggregate the video along with their cable TV shows from eztv.

I've never met anyone that cannot understand a simple argument. I'm not sure how you can't get past the fact I'm in no way arguing about how fast it is to download something from BT as opposed to http. My point that is he DID help the people who were getting it from BT. I acknowledge that http downloading IS faster - but he DID help the people who for some reason or another wanted/needed to download it from BT. You don't know why these people torrented the episode and he obviously uploaded a shit-ton so there were definitely a lot of people getting it from BT. Even if out of all the people torrenting it, only 1 needed to get it via BT, he stilled helped. It seems to me like you were just trying to put him down...
Holy moly.. I go on weekend and come back to this .. lol
I have a 10/10 mbit connection, i just wanted to help those who used bittorrent, and yes, i use rev3 tracker :)

This is a great help...there is no argument about that. In response tokenuser, direct downloads are not always the most convenient method of download. For me it is much easier to torrent the show because my direct downloads drop out due to my high bandwidth use (at all times). By using bittorrent the download doesn't fail 1/2 way through, and I don't have to restart every time my internet drops. Yes I'm sure if I was to use a download manager I wouldn't have a problem, but it's a convenience issue.
Thanks ZorK.
