Ok Alex...listen up man. You can top the art exhibit for proposing marriage. See if you can get to know a dolphin trainer who works at an aquarium like Sea World or other local flavors of the same. You know how they pick someone out of the audience to come up and "be a trainer" during their shows? Have your new trainer friend pick the girl you're going to propose to, (make sure they pick the right girl), out of the audience to be that guest trainer. While she's up on stage you sneak around behind the stage and standby.
Prior to all of this you should have given the ring to the trainer. The trainer will in turn put the ring in a milk jug or something else that the dolphin can carry. As part of the show the trainer should give that milk jug to your girlfriend who will throw the jug out into the water for the dolphin to bring back to her. When the dolphin brings the jug back, have the trainer shake it and say that something in there and then ask your girlfriend to see what it is. Meanwhile, you sneak up behind her on stage and get on one knee. When she empties the contents of the jug to see the ring, have the trainer turn her around to see you down on one knee asking her to marry you. If you really want to have fun with it, have the trainer add in more interaction with the dolphins. "Do you think she should marry him?", then have the dolphins shake their heads or something...whatever.
I promise you my friend...she'll never forget that one. Have someone in the audience video recording it...then post and Digg it. :D
