Ahh, a fine song indeed sir.
"NWA - Chin Check" is the name of it.
It's off the Next Friday soundtrack. :D

An NWA song, from the Next Friday soundtrack ? ? Are you sure it's not from an NWA album from several years earlier ?? Sigh, that's sad.

That's something I don't understand about the American market. You have 40oz, which is what, roughly 1200ml or something like 2pints. Anyway, you have these big ass bottles, but yet so much "lite" variations. Anyway, yeah they're miller. Or am I missing something?

Lite beer in america isn't an alcohol/vol thing. Light beer in america is low calorie.

Yeah I understand what it is, it's lower in carbs. But why do lite beers do so well, yet 40oz seem popular. When over here, no one will drink a lite beer, and we seem to be the binge drinking capital, yet no 40oz. If anything, I think we should get 160oz!!

Not sure about that sentence exactly. If you mean, "why bother drinking low carb beer if you are going to drink a 40oz?", then I get the question. Miller Genuine Draft isn't lite though. Not really sure how many lite beers are available in 40oz. I don't know if any are.

I just mean, on a nation that drinks plenty of lite beer, some even claiming such beers as bud light or miller lite as their favourite; consume plenty of non lite 40s. I 'spose it just comes down to you being so much larger, in size and population. Larger market, more products. Though here is some useless info for you, the biggest selling lager in the UK is Stella Artois, the Carling. I wonder what it is in other countries across the globe.

Anyone?

The reason the budlights sell well is because of the large number of common people that drink it. The house wife that has 3 beers a year, is likely going to have a bud light. The kind of person buying the 40's of Mickey's, is in a completely different demographic. Beerdrinkers rarely drink regular bud or miller, let alone lite. I can attest that it's been about 8-9 years since I had a lite beer.

I actually have some stella in my fridge right now, wish it was 40's.

One time I worked in a shitty pub in king's cross in london and we ran out of Fosters and I put a keg of Carling on the Fosters tap and no regular Fosters drinkers said anything. And yes the market is larger, but there aren't more products. You'd be surprised how few brands/styles of beer and cigs are available here.

I've never been over there. I think we get quite a selection, but the only lite beer I know of is michelob. Which is basically pishy budweiser. Yeah Stella AKA wife beater is always a winner. Can't beat a bottle of Gaymers cider if you come across it, or at the the very least Magners.

Michelob is heavier and darker and BETTER than bud. I have some Michelob in my fridge too, and Hollande, Sapporo and Peroni. Michelob Ultra is their lite beer, and regular Michelob comes as a bock and a lager. Both are better than bud. Do you guys still have a french beer there called 33 ? I drank that when I was there, came in a small green bottle. Kronen 1664's were good, and the occasional Tennents super or extra, with a nice big box of black super kings.

Really? Maybe the Bud we get over here isn't quite the same, seeming it's brewed in Surrey. Umm, the 33 not sure. Don't know of it, the kronenbourg is still about. You should try the kronenbourg Blanc, very nice on a summers day. Tennents is the Scottish lager, I'm living in Scotland right now. Super is the strong stuff, 9%. Don't smoke though. Though you get Guinness and Baileys no? So you can make the old elephants cum, just like a shandy tops, most of the pint is Guinness topped off with baileys. Or the Turbo Shandy, about 3 1/4 of a pint of Stella finished off with smirnoff ice. There is off course the diesel...

Is there any similar drinks in the states?

I lived in Surrey for a while, New Malden. I worked in the Krays old pub. No the Bud is not the same. NO beers are the same from country to country, Fosters is different here from there, and it's not even purchased in Australia.

Oh I know!!!1:D That beautiful bright purple can used to excite me.

So you can make the old elephants cum, just like a shandy tops, most of the pint is Guinness topped off with baileys.

You shouldn't call it a shandy top. Shandy is 50/50 portions, and it's normally just lemonade, but can be whatever. 'Top' normally refers to a large dash on top. Lager top, light and lime, Guinnes black(currant) top, etc. I would pour all of those with the top being just the poriton at the top that makes up the head. They don't really pour heads here either. (don't even get me started on how they pour guiness)
The one I don't get is the beer and beer ones. Light and lager, etc. Why do people mix 50/50 two kinds of beer? Is it really that great a taste to mix ale and lager or whatever ?

Is there any similar drinks in the states?

Hell no. There are a few similar, but no where near the number of drink deviations I had to learn in order to bartend in London. One good thing here though, there is no legal limit to the amount poured for shots or cocktails. 28.8 mls in london and 30 in Australia. In America, it just depends on how much your last tip was for the bartender, which is another difference. They expect tips like they automatically deserve it, whereas in london, friednly patrons bought me a drink when they ordered their own.

Where you at in Scotland, I've been there 2 or 3 times as well.

Oh right I see. Well I have never had a shandy, apart from the tinned stuff. I just thought that would be the best way to describe it.

Do you get Carlsberd special brew over there? That's just like super.

I'm in Aberdeen, north east. Shite hole really, though a lot of money because of all the oil companies. A fair few being American.

There must be some well known concoctions over there? I am partial to a certain drink, yes it may seem camp but hay ho. Vodka, sloe gin and lemonade. Don't know if sloe gin is around over there.

No, it's gin flavoured with sloe berries. It's basically red gin, with a slight fruity taste.
