I looked and I did not see a post about this, so, last night I rented the Dr. Strange animated movie from Marvel/Lionsgate and I wanted to share my thoughts...First, it wasn't bad, I've seen all of the new animated movies so far and I think that this one is at or near the top. I liked Ultimate Avengers, didn't care for UAII and the Iron Man was ok but predictable. I know that animation is hard especially when its a comic so I shouldn't criticize nor possess the right to criticize since I can't even draw proportional stick figures.

Anyway, the movie was good, voice acting was good except for the Mordo character by Kevin Michael Richardson. It's not that he didn't do well, it's just he plays the bad guy for soooooooo many animated films that his voice is generic to me. He's voiced on Lilo and Stitch, he was Hulk Davidson in Viewtiful Joe, Justice Leauge, Goro from Motal Combat, etc.

My main criticism with the Marvel/Lionsgate flicks that have been done is that they seem to speed through a lot of the important part of the origins of the heroes. *spoiler kinda* For example, in Dr. Strange they blow by how he actually learns magic, one minute he's hauling rocks and then Bam, he's a magician. It left me wanting more substance.

Anyway, I hope my fellow geeks out there check the movie out and share their opinions.
