So I am debating on buying one. I already have a 360 and Wii. I also have a PS2 (which if I get a PS3 I will trade in). Just want to see what everyone thinks.

I'm loving mine, and I'm bullish on the games that are coming. I still play my 360 the most of my three consoles, but I can't be without Sony's first-party stuff. And I love turning on the system without worrying about it dying on me--like my 360 already has.

If you have the cash and you like playing a lot of games, why not. I will get one, just not right now. I'll wait until there's a good handful of MUST HAVE games. I'll be keeping an eye on the comments and reviews and take advantage of some post x-mas sales.

My 360 died on me about 2 months after launch, and I had to send it back because my store didnt have any in stock (I worked for EB Games at the time).

No, you shouldn't by your self a PS3. What you should do however. Is by ME a PS3. I need one. Come on. Please?

Is it a money issue, if not go for it. It is a bit more like a PC than the 360 in terms of usability, you kinda have to dig for things. I love it and honestly use it mostly to watch DVDs and Blu-Rays on. It's pretty, and has some ok games. The killer apps are yet to come and some things clearly need work still, but as the proud owner of the devices you see in my sig I say its a great machine and it's only getting better with each new firmware update.

Don't get it...yet. Wait until the rumble controller is out, early next year with MGS4, then strike. Trust me. Definately get one, but not now.

Thats what I was thinking after I read everything about the rumble. It just makes more sense to me to wait till it has everything and at lest 10 good games. Right now the only ones that look good to me are Ninja Gaiden, Warhawk, Heavenly Sword and thats about it. I would rather play the rest of the games that are out on the 360. At least I can get gamerpoints for them.

Right, you said you have Wii and 360. Well you're all set. Heck, you can play old PS2 games in the meantime. Just wait, we'll buy early next year. We'll be like BFFs only I'm way too needy then you're going to try to disown me but you won't know how to nicely tell me to buzz off. I also can't take a hint.

If you buy this month I think you still get five free Blu-Ray movies.

I sold my xbox to get a ps3.
If you got the cash, get it now, the deals are nice. If not made of money, wait, the games just arent here yet. In a few months itll pick up steam and honestly sony has its head up it *expletive deleted* so lets hope they get their ducks in a row. I still have faith cause it has SO much potential. Just cant really recommend it just yet. as awesome as warhawk and heavenly sword are.

If you don't get a PS3 how will you play the beta of LittleBigPlanet?

Reasons to get a PS3 now: (in a loose order of preference)
Heavenly Sword
Tekken 5 Online
Warhawk
Super Stardust HD and/or Blast Factor
(and if you REALLY love Shooters, I guess Nucleus is ok, but not amazing)
Resistance Fall of Man
Calling All Cars
Pixel Junk
Flow
Reasons to get the PS3 in the future:
Ratchet & Clank (October)
Folklore (October)
Little Big Planet (2008)
Home Beta (November/December)
Metal Gear Solid 4 (2008)
Everyday Shooter (soon?)
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (November)
I like my PS3. I like the design. The controller, the store (somewhat). But if you've already got the 360, then it would have to be one or more of the games above that excite you enough to pick up the PS3

I actually cant wait for little big planet. Its something that me and my girlfriend can play together. Thats kinda what I'm looking for more now, something I can play with her.
