Any time I try to download any show from Rev3,it says redirect in place of the name of the episode,so redirect.xvid,redirect.wmv so on and so forth,it does it for all shows, all files types and all sizes,I am using the rite click save link as method,in the latest version of Firefox 2.This isn't really a problem more of an annoyance,I refuse to use ie so if this is a Firefox problem that sucks.

I get it too. Not on IE or Firefox. I also get logged out several times a day. I have to type my login and password in every damn time, it never saves my info or keeps me logged in, even when I haven't left. The only times I have to 'log-in' to any other forum I've ever been to, is when it's the first session after turning my computer on, after that, I never have to log-in again, and that could be for months. Here, it's many many times a day.

The newest one is now I get several blank pages when I click on absolutely anything, I can go back and re-click though.

Glad to see someone else asking about this. I've been downloading/saving every episode of everything since rev3 began. The past couple of days though, it's using that damn redirect system. So, file names are redirect.xxx as the ziggy110 said.

ALSO, when trying to use torrents, (via utorrent 1.7.5) the Tracker Status always shows "offline (timed out)". Announcing gets me a couple of peers but the status of the tracker stays red and no full seeds connect.

Who broke it? ;-)

This is not a Firefox problem. I have no problems downloading the files using Firefox 2.0.x. Are you using any kind of download manager such as DownloadThemAll or some such? If so, that might be the problem.

We will be upgrading our torrent server soon. Which file are you trying to download via Torrent btw?

I've been trying to download anything off the first two screens of new shows. :-) (Gigaom 008, 009, ifanboy 35, 36, indigital 26, xlr8 27...)

Thanks for the update though!

P.S. using Firefox 2.0.0.7.

The reason why you are seeing the file name show up as redirect.ext when you download it is because Revision3 is using Podtrac to track all their downloads and Podtrac uses http://podtrac.com/redirect.ext?http://videolink for the URL.

yeah, I noticed that on the status line at the bottom of the screen when I hovered over the download - but is there not a way to avoid it?

If I left-click on the download, it proceeds to open up in quick-time, but a right-click to save it gets the "redirect" name. I usually use torrents rather than direct downloads, but since the torrents aren't working... 8-P

I'll just go away for a few days and try again! hehehehe

The reason why it opens up in QuickTime is because the QuickTime browser setting is configure to start playing movies automatically. Change that in your QuickTime settings and it will download instead.

I "fix" it by copying the url, save as, paste url, remove everything but the file name and hit save.

I never knew you could do that before. I guess I learned something new today.

We're working on addressing the torrent issues. Please download via direct download while this is being worked out.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

I too have been having the blank page issue. Also my download speeds have become very erratic. I used to always know I would get good speeds, but now they tend to stay around 80KBs, then shoot up for a small period and back down. I've tried downloading from download.com and don't seem to have a problem.

I spoke too soon about the torrents working again. They're not now. "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it."

I feel like I've been insulted! ;-)

If you ever have download problems, PM (http://revision3.com/forum/private.php?do=newpm&u=38752) me the IP and the filename you're trying to download. We might not be able to address it immediately, but the info can certainly help us isolate the problems with our CDN partners.

We are working on getting a brand new server for the torrents. All the parts are in... we hoping to have it all configured by this weekend.

I just thought I would add that the FlashGet download manager works with podtrac links.
