The whole "need to find a peaceful solution" doesn't really fit at all. I mean, they barely go a single episode without getting into a huge fight. And when shit gets real bad, the good guys usually win by going berserk and laying waste to the entire area.

Accusing a children's TV cartoon of not being original is pretty funny. All these shows are rip-offs of the Homer's "Odyssey."
That's not important. What is important is the writing. Sure, they're telling the same story as "Pokemon." But, the story is told better.

I think if you take most stories down to their bare bones framework, they seem strangely like other stories, but that's not a big deal really. I think what's more important is the details. Details are what make something good or bad.
I mean how many things have you seen have the frame work of other good stories, but are horrible?

There are only so many plots or themes out there. If you look through that list, you'll find pretty much every story ever.
