I recently discovered a way to get the previously Internet Explorer specific Netflix Watch It Now service to work using Mozilla Firefox.

In order for this to work you need to install the IE Tab add-on for Firefox, which is available on the Mozilla website: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1419

This add-on gives you the option to view the Internet Explorer version of a website, from within Firefox.

Once the add-on is installed, you will see a button at the bottom right corner of the window.

The button should be a picture of the Firefox logo at this point, this tells you that the tab is currently in Firefox mode.

Once the button is pressed, the page should refresh itself in Internet Explorer mode, and the button should then look like this.

Once this is done, simply select the movie or show you want to view on the Netflix website, and enjoy.
I should note that this add-on is only available for Windows. There is another add-on that does a similar thing called User Agent Switcher. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/59
This add-on was tested on Ubuntu 7.04, and although the Netflix website did detect the Firefox browser as Internet Explorer, the website simply froze on the 'Determining Video Quality' stage, so you Linux users out there will unfortunately have to look elsewhere.
