New idea for hdmi to computer streaming

So I just had the idea that it would be cool to be able to stream from my ps3 or an xbox to a laptop screen. Upon researching the idea it seems that lots of people have thought of the same thing. And none of them have been very successful.

The problem is usually the same. Everyone wants to find a way to hack the HDMI out port on their laptop and be able to use it for HDMI in. Not very practical.

So I thought that maybe Ben would be able to show us how to make a Bluetooth, HDMI to USB adapter for streaming across any HDMI device to a laptop.

I don't know how complex this is. Certainly too complex for a complete beginner like me. But it seems like this project would interest quite a bit of people.
