Okay, I know some of you may get sick of these recommendation threads, if so you can skip this one... but I had a guy post on my blog who doesn't read comics, but he wants to start, and he wants to read Batman and Iron Man.
It's my opinion that it's easiest to "break-in" to any character with a stand alone story that is collected in TPB or OGN, but I'm not well-read enough on either of these characters to know where to start. So, any great Batman or Iron Man Graphic Novels that are "must-reads" for a beginner? Last edited by HudsonPhillips : 12-12-2007 at 10:17 PM. |

And it's a great place to start, so I'd highly recommend it, too. It's really well written, it looks great, and it gives you the essentials. Everything you need to know is contained in this series. The (revised) backstory is probably the closest to what we'll see in the movie, too.
