Default Playing taps for System.

The fat lady at Revision3 has sung, so it is now time to play taps for the show that really could have been. We did get a kick or two when experts came in. At least Revision3 will not have to worry about keeping it's promise of "Internet Television any way you want it." anymore.

The show that could have been?

How about the show that was. It had a good run. It ran out of steam. When that happens its time to let go and move on.

Theres a difference between going full blast and running out of steam and just not throwing enough wood on the fire to keep the steam going. I think we all know which one happened and that it could have been avoided. RIP Systm.

G4 assimilation complete.

When I post my RevisionG4 banner or compare it to G4 I am just joking around and do it in jest. But actually believing Revision3 is anything like G4 at all is asinine.

I'm not trying to get into an argument about this but can you really say that Rev3's content is much different than any other tech/gaming network like G4 anymore? Rev3 was founded to bring back the good content that was lost due to G4 moving in on TechTV, which is IMO why so many faces from TechTV showed up on Rev3 (kevin rose, alex albrecht, martin sargent, sarah lane, jessica corbin, patrick norton, dan huard, etc... i know theres more but thats off the top of my head).

Systm was the last real tech show that was different than all the rest of the mainstream content. Every other show that Rev3 makes (so not counting shows like Hak5, Film Riot, etc.) is either Tekzilla, something that should be a segment on Tekzilla, a video game show, or a show that really has nothing to do with technology. Tekzilla, to me at least, is a mainstream show because most of the topics and viewer questions they cover are no-brainers to real geeks. To me the content of Rev3 looks almost exactly like the content of a network like G4. How can you honestly say there is a difference anymore?

G4 never impressed me. The last Tekzilla was about backup programs which has been on rev3 quite a few times. I did not even bother to watch the whole show. Hate to be negative, but someone needs to be checked for Alzheimer's disease. Sarah and maybe others are no longer with Rev3 to my knowledge. Systm was good when they had real techie people on the show, but most of them seemed to be muscled out of the way. When the experts were not on the show it seemed a bit more like romper room time. Just my not worth two cents opinion.

Can only agree. They ran out of steam because the chose to do so. There where tons of suggestions to future shows, almost none of wich they ever bothered to pick up on.

Patrick just didnt want to do it anymore, simple as that.
There are alot of techswavy people out there, could easily continued if they wanted to....guess they rather move towards main stream contentless media.

...still use sys codes on godaddy though..

...why let it go...I'll keep fighting for the show a bit longer.

Yep. It showed for many months before they shot the bullet.

He put no time in the "car radiator" cooler show. He never bothered to finish his "iPod sound quality improvement" show.
