Default HDTV website suggestions

What are the best website for HDTV reviews, previews, and overall good source of information thats not this show. I am in the market for a HDTV and I wanted somewhere i could go to find out if what im looking at is worth the buy and where to get the best deals.

When ever I'm shopping for anything tech, CNET Reviews (http://reviews.cnet.com) is usually the very first site I look at. For anything related to digital photography, I also look at Digital Photography Review (http://www.dpreview.com/).

Might sound cliched, but I go to Google.

"review <insert modelname/number>"

Amazon is pretty good as well.

I don't really need a professional review. I want consumer reviews.

No offense to Robert (or Roger, Patrick, or anyone else doing product reviews), but the professional reviewer environment is pretty contrived - its perfect conditions, using ideal video sources, using a calibrated unit ... often supplied by the manufacturer. That doesn't reflect the real world experience you get out of the box.

How did it go in the real world?
Whats it like 6 months later?
Whats it like in a living room in real world viewing conditions?
How did it sound?
Was there an annoying buzz you hear when the unit is "asleep"?
How was the remote?

The problem with a lot of Amazon user reviews is a lot of the "users" are actually ignorant kiddies giving negative reviews because they didn't like how the maker offered the product, never actually bought it themselves, and merely wanted to drive down the rating.

I think AVS Forums is the best place to get help, tips and general information about products you are interested in. There is bound to be someone who knows the exact answer to your question and the discussions are interesting.
