well, there are a lot of nerds that watch rev3 shows, so i'm sure this show will be a fairly big hit. i, however, have never gotten into Anime stuff. so, I won't be watching this. cool to see new shows popping up though. best of luck AnimeTV

I do like watching iFanboy, but at least they discus current comics. I would also LOVE to add an anime/manga video podcast to my line-up.
However, Kenichi aired in 2006 or as I like to call it "almost half a decade ago". The same goes for Naruto Shippuden which started airing in 2007. I've noticed that a lot of US anime news sources only cover series when they come out there, ignoring that most of the world just watches the series as they come out in Japan. If AnimeTV will continue on the same course and will not cover the series that are coming out now, I will definitely not keep watching. Last edited by DepthStrike : 01-07-2010 at 09:04 PM. |

I love REV3 and I love anime, so I figured this was a no-brainer! So far... I am really disappointed. I guess I am a "purist" I want my anime subbed not dubbed! And apparently thats what the do here, dubbed. I hope in the future they will cover some of both!
And to the guy from the dubbing group: the internet, fan subs, and "illegal" downloads have done more to promote anime around the world than any dubbing group! Anime producers have started to realize this! They are starting to embrace the internet, providing streams, subbed, instantly for a minute fee, or on a week delay for free! Genius! DB, the best fansubbers for Naruto even acknowledged this, and stopped subbing Naruto, stating that their motive was never to hurt the company, and since they were going to provide a viable alternative, a fansub was no longer needed. my two cents |

In times I feel like a complete uber nerd, it's nice to watch a show like this and realize that I still have 1 up on anime nerds...
Man I cringe sometimes when I see anime folk, just because I know I'm a 1st cousin to them on the Nerdydom family tree... But its good to see Rev3 is making good choices. Though I'm not an anime fan this show still seems pretty interesting. I will keep watching. Who knows!? I may actually watch an anime one day!

I am glad that Revision3 now has a show centered on anime and I had watched a few episodes of AnimeTV back when it first started. However, AnimeTV is a little too quirky and if they are going to review movies they need to do it in a more thorough and accurate way.
I own Ghost in the Shell 2.0, and while I agree that the new CG should have been left out they were not stating some key facts. One being that the original movie, unedited, is included on the Blu-ray. Also, the original film was remastered in 1080p very well, along with remastered audio; which in my opinion gives you plenty of reason to buy it. Anyways, Revision3 is still great.
