Guyver is awesome in my opinion, even the live action movies :P they are just good to watch for a chuckle. Never read the manga though but i know the general outline of what happens after the anime. The first anime did get kinda confusing though, that might of been cause i missed an episode

Episode today was good, enjoyed it. I was just thinking that maybe viewers would be interested to know that Hima is an adjective when used in japanese, and not like the noun counterpart that we have. Just something I thought about for a second and was like "oh right!" in the back of my head! ^^

I liked the new segment for suggesting old anime. Unfortunately I hate Noir. It's soooo boring. I watched a little more than half of it before I just couldn't take it anymore and had to quit wasting my time. Also, is Noir really an anime nobody knows about? When it first came out everyone was talking about it. Female assassins killing tons of people. Who wouldn't know about that. Maybe it's just that no one *now* knows about it... cause it ended up being such a flop.

Roy's hat was such a bad idea to wear. The audience has to be able to see your face and eyes so that you're engaging.

Miley once again steals the show. Great points, well explained.

Another great episode, and a great new segment!

With that said, I missed Laura. She seems to be the most passionate about her anime, and I appreciate that. Even if I have no clue about the series she's discussing. The women of AnimeTv are so hot, but seriously, Ms. Vee melted down my monitor.



Roy is passionate too, and I do appreciate the honest reviews from all the crew.

I liked the new segment just to mix things up a bit. I didn't like the anime recommended Noir, but the idea is cool at least.

I'm not a fan of most action stuff so I'm not interested in Guyver and just shut the episode off 2/3rds in because of it. I've been doing this the last couple of episodes, actually.


When are you guys going to start reviewing less action/scifi and more emotional anime/artsy titles, or comedy school girl titles? For example, most likely my favorite anime of all time is Haibane Renmei... if not easily tied by others. I haven't seen a review of an anime yet that even comes into the same genre let alone something subtly similar.

When are you guys going to start reviewing a broader range of titles instead of the stereotypical american only likes 'boy' anime?

Haibane Renmei is a great anime! Totally agree with that.

As for which titles they actually review, I think they addressed this in another thread. I'm pretty sure anime studios provide them with a series free of charge, and when they're done with it, they have to give it back. Basically a studio lends them the dvds. And they can't choose what they're given. At least this is what I've been lead to believe. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong ATV peeps.

Also, where was all this Laura love before? Almost every episode she gets dragged through the mud by forum members about how she judges anime. And suddenly, when they rotate her out, as they've done to everybody so far to give all the reviewers their fair share of time on the couch, a whole new crowd comes in saying they miss her. What? You couldn't be bothered to defend her when others were insulting her on earlier episodes? Geez.

Pretty good show this week, I've never even heard of Guyver before, don't think I will bother checking it out. I agree I would like to see more genres than the action/sci-fi stuff being reviewed. I like girly stuff. =P

I was really glad to see them talking about Noir, it was pretty much the first anime I'd ever watched that wasn't on t.v. when I was a kid, and I bought it a few years ago. =3

I dig that hat Roy, that is an awesome hat. ^_^ And I have to agree with blacksymbiote, where is this Laura love coming from? o.O I personally am not a big fan of her. Oh, and they had clarified in another thread about the anime they review: they get lent the dvds when it's stuff they're are reviewing, that hasn't been released yet. I believe they said they don't need permission for stuff that's been out a while.
