Default This forum puts all others to shame.

I was talking on my favorite web comic forum www.megatokyo.com and virtually everyone there has an attitude problem... one chick called me a little Sh*t... I think its nothing like geekdrome's forum... I think every dromie watches out for each other instead of no. 1 thanks for a kick ass forum!

I completely agree (and would even extend the comment to all of Rev3 forums, or at least the ones I've read)! This is the first (and pretty much only) forum that I participate in. Even up to the time I first posted, I was really apprehensive about even posting in a forum b/c I was worried about getting torn to shreds by users who disagreed or found a mistake in my postings. But ever since I've been more frequently participating and reading other forums, I've found everyone to be awesome and friendly. Kudos to everyone!

I think the key here is that the forums are a community with wider interests than most niche boards, YET still with a common love of tech - from both a social and technology perspective. It is that social aspect that is important, because it embodies a culture that helps bind us together.

There have been a number of asshole/disruptive/abusive posters on here, but either by forum self moderation, or proactive actions from the mods, their impact has pretty much been minimised in all areas of the Rev3 board - not just the Geekdrome forum.

BTW - Two thumbs up to araym. I don't go to the megatokyo forums - but I should ... I want to know what Piro and Kimiko were talking about in Japanese.
