Default Poached Eggs Help

I tried to do poached eggs just now. The yolks came out PERFECT. I don't think I've had better, runny, gooey, scrumptious yolks in my entire life. Something about those two were really awesome!

But, to my dismay, almost none of the egg whites came together! They kind of swirled off to the sides and onto the bottom of the pot.

Any one know the reason to this is?
I used a pretty big pot, much larger than the one he used one the episode. I also added about two tablespoons of vinegar I think (I wasn't exact, used a moderately sized spoon). I swirled the water like it said, and I thought I had nailed that part great.

Any help would be appreciated for my next attempt

The forums have been slower than normal. I am sure someone will come around to offer some help soon. I never cook poached eggs so I can't help.

Pan was too big, or had too much water, or you didn't swirl it enough, or have enough vinegar for the amount of water, or the eggs were not fresh.

Lots of possibilities.

I find that if the water is too hot (especially if boiling), the whites will split apart from the yolk. Try lowering the temperature of the water you cook the eggs in?

Im thinking it was either this or the pot size.
