I think I'm burnt out on anticipation. I've got a lot of books coming in this week and nothing really screams to me. I feel very "meh" about my comics this week.

I'm pretty jazzed about some of the stuff hitting this week. I've been really enjoying Teen Titans lately, so that issue is high up for me. I also scoped out Batman and The Outsiders from Conor's thoughts on the cast, and I really dug that. So...I guess I'm excited for the DC goodness.

The one I'm keeping my eye on is Batman, just because, so far, this return of Ra's story has been kind of clunky (aside from the stand out Nightwing issue). My hope is that this issue will get it started.

As for me and my anticipation constipation, I name the following as most worthy of titter and jubilation: Fear Agent, Batman And The Outsiders, Daredevil, and Ultimate Spider-Man.

Hey! Isn't there an actual Marvel Universe Spider-Man book this week? That could be a thing.

seriously though, i don't think i have to tell you guys what my most anticipated is.

but in terms of this DD hate: Basically Devil in Cell Block D is probably one of the best DD stories of all time. Second arc i found to be slightly better than average, but this newest arc has been great (especially now that Milla is in jail) but it feels like it's going on too long (and i think its going to go on even longer). I'm anticipating a new arc, but Brubaker still has me craving this month in month out

I think we all have a book that, no matter who's writing it, we would buy. Daredevil is definitely that book for me.

While being a rabid fan, I admit that Bru's run has been a bit spotty, but I'm loving what he's doing with the character right now. While I wait and pine for the complete Bendis run in Omnibus form (Do you hear me Marvel?), Bru has kept me in the game and loving this whole concept of fear entering into Matt's world (Mr. Fear, Milla's fear, etc.). I trust Brubaker in that he will lead Matt into new exciting territories.

If not, I'll still be reading.

For a long time that was Amazing Spider-Man and Wonder Woman for me. But now I haven't bought a SM comic is almost a year! I got over the compulsion.

DD is good, but right now it's Green Mile good as opposed to Shawshank Redemption good.

I'm okay with this comparison.

but i stand my previous statement that Devil in Cell Block D is one of the best DD storylines ever!

My retailer told me last week that comics were coming out on Wednesday. But he could have been mistaken. We'll see.

Anticipation: strangely, I'm anticipating the Moon Knight Annual, since it's written by another crime novelist (not Huston). I'm always curious about new blood coming in. And novelists have been a mixed bag.

I'm still enjoying DD, so I'm looking forward to that. And I'm actually looking forward to the next chapter of Messiah Complex, too.

Actually, it's a pretty good batch for me this week. I've been enjoying Trials of Shazam, and I love Rucka and The Question, so the Crime Bible is a good one for me...yeah, it's a light but solid week with a few books I'm legitimately curious about.
