From Episode 35: http://revision3.com/systm/evdo/
Of course, Systm is about getting your DIY on, so we rustled thru the parts bin in Patrick's garage and found an 800MHz Mini-ITX machine that runs on 12V. (That means no annoying 12V from the car to 120V via an inverter... the $25 we paid for it is just a sweet bonus.) The link in the show notes is to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mini_itx After googling around for a while I couldnt find any Mini-ITX boards near $25. This is a great buy and means with the board, ram, HardDrive, you could have a fully opporable tiny pc for less the $100. True, this would be a slow machine, but for many hobbies and other DIY projects this would be great! So anyone have any ideas where this $25 Mini-ITX MotherBoard Patrick had came from? What store? EDIT: I did find a $70 solution, but its not $25 http://www.logicsupply.com/products/boxd201glyLast edited by shaiss : 01-30-2008 at 02:36 PM. |
