*Obvious Spoilers*
Well, I fininshed Fallout 3 and I was kinda let down by my ending, so I wanted to see what some of your endings were. First: The giant robot Liberty Prime was friggin' awesome. I think that Bathesda missed an excellent opportunity to make the game more like this segment. Not neccesarily with the robot, but the action and the way the enemies were laid out was really cool. This part made me feel like a was really taking part of the world instead of doing small task that affected so little, but meh, I'm not complaining. My ending kinda left a bad taste in my mouth...I just can't make myself play the game "bad." So, I didn't inject the virus, I went into the chamber instead of letting the paladin go, input 216 (duh) and got blown to pieces. Then the ending credits were identical to I Am Legend with a slideshow of my character and Dog Meat from the back...I swear the narraration from the movie could have replaced the in game narration and it would have said the same thing. So, what was your ending? Anyone end up with the hot blonde paladin? Or is there a way to get back to Marita in vault 121 and retire? |

I think it's impossible to continue after the "Taking it Back" mission. No matter what. A still montage with Ron Perlman voice-over was a little bit of a let-down. However, the biggest let-down was not being able to walk out of the Jefferson memorial and continue sand-boxing it for another 10-levels.
The have been comments about the shortness of the main quest. However, I've finished the main quest in Oblivion in eight to ten hours just by bulldozing through it.

Anyway, did you get blown up as well? I mean, isn't there supposedly 100 different endings? Or is it 100 different slide shows? |

I tried two different endings, one I did what you did, the other I dropped in the enclave's chemical. you get a bunch of screen shots of dead ghouls and super mutants. I had the enclave computer shut itself down so I'm not sure what happens if you don't get them to do that.
Something I don't understand is why if the enclave made the mutants are they so intent on killing them off. Very strange.

The side quests are arranged into threads. The side-quests themselves aren't related, but you tend to pick-up new side-quests at locations of older ones. You need to search locations thoroughly, reads notes, look in computers...you find stuff. For example, here is a thread. Wasteland guide -> Supermarket-> Those! -> Naughty Nightware -> Girdershade - > Nuka-Cola Challenge -> Deliver the Cola formula...

Yeah, I "persuaded" the computer to shut itself off...It felt like a "2001: A space Oddyssey" moment...I thought I would get a "I can't do that, Dave!" response, but got a, "ok, I'll shut myself off." response instead. I guess it never really sunk in that the Enclave is who created the Mutants, I thought it was localized to that Vault alone...But it makes sense now.

Dude, whatever you do. DON'T GO TO OLD OLONY until you have power armor, the biggest guns in the game and lots of ammo.
Just sayin.

I'll check it out, I have the power armour and I stole/acquired the "Smugglers End", the "Xuanlong Assault Rifle" and my game glitched during the part where the dad dies and the Colonel guy died as well some how and I got his 10mm pistol which is pretty powerful. |

Do you know how to get the power Armour training without getting from the brotherhood?
