Default Something Stinks in Rumor World

This morning, Fox News reported that Obama would name Arizona Governor Napalitano head of Homeland Security. It will probably end up being true, because despite their hideously propagandistic bias they usually do the "news." However, there are some things about that seem odd. First, it is the GOP's wet dream for Obama to name as the head of Homeland Security, someone from one of the Mexican border states who favors amnesty--The idea was actually floated in October by conservatives as a way to rally the core. Second, she just got re-elected to the Governorship in THIS election. Third, the story (which also ran on MSNBC) said "the decision was made pending vetting."

Why would Obama let this kind of news out "pending vetting?" Whaddaya think?

Oh, by the way, let's not overlook my record on spotting these things. I am almost always wrong!
