It's kinda weird when you actually hear it in context. I remember a while back I decided to start from the beginning and watch all the episodes and I heard it I was all hey I know that line. It's like when you see a trailer and it's the key dialog in the movie and when you see the movie and that part comes up your like... I don't even know how to describe it I'll leave that to someone more articulate than I.

Uh... Episode 1. Know your roots.

Also, earlier shows also had "Eerie zombie Kevin" after the "put zombie in the title" line.

I kind of miss the "Eerie Zombie Kevin" line. It just always amused me. Also, anyone remember "pala pala pala?"

The two lines go together:

Kevin: "Why do you have flies in your frickin' house?
Alex: "It's Southern California and I have fruit"

and then in a later episode they made a reference to that:

Alex: "Why are there so many flies in your apartment?"
Hippie: "It's Northern California and We have wine..."

RIP missing lines. Also, if you are a big enough nerd you notice they took out the pause between "welcome to diggnation" and the start of the music and the dog growls for a shorter period of time. All of this happened at episode 50 when they introduced the video intro.
