The only really great games I have on my iPhone have come to me via word of mouth or as a segment in Co-op, TRS, etc.
I'm most excited for AppJudgment in hopes that it will help quality games surface from the mess of kitten catapulting and stick figure wars. The good news is that we don't have to wait for AppJudgment to do a show on games; we have this handy forum to share games with each other already. Post your deserving mobile games here for great justice! For my contribution, I recommend anyone with an iPod Touch or iPhone to play Eliss. It takes advantage of a multitouch screen in a way that other game don't even attempt, and I love the simple aesthetic. Thanks goes to Co-op for pointing it out. |

Perhaps AppJudgment could dedicate the Friday show to Game Apps.

I definetly think you guys should review games on this show. Games make up the majority of iPhones popular apps, and desperately need an outlet to help sort through the madness of the app store. As much as people love Twitter clients, this show could get very boring if it stays focused on simple web serviced based GUIs.
The Area5/Co-op guys are in SF so you could easily bring them in. Also, WhatTheyPlay.com's John Davidson is San Fran based, and is maybe the leading advocate for iPhone games. NGMoco, is also in SF (I believe in the same building as Davidson) so you could easily get Neil Young to give you his PR spin on the iPhone frontier. They're behind Rolando, Topple, StarDefense(sp?) and many other extremely polished games. Young left a senior executive position at EA to start up a purely iPhone focused publishing house, so he's got some great ideas.
