Net working in the safe mod while it will not load a page on normal start up. any ideas

my pc was running perfectly i didn't download anything or do anything. i shutdown my pc and the windows update started waited until it finished and then went to sleep the next day i ran my pc and i have the internet conecction but i cant get to load any page (tried Internet Explorer, Fire Fox and Safari) or even lunch my yahoo massenger, or any of my online videogames. my pc and my router say that am connected to the internet and when i ping i get the result back but i cant load anything that i guess take more than 1kb.

I tried to restore the system back into an earlier time and it didn't work, restored a month ago and the same thing still happenes cant load, download or upload from the internet.

i tested my cables by connecting my laptop into the the same cable that i use for my pc and it worked fine.

i think that the problem is in the pc but the thing that is killing me is that if i use the safe mod with networking it works fine. Can it be a VIRUS that blocks the internet i have trend micro and its not detecting anything (scaned my pc 5 times "FULL SCAN").

hope someone has an idea how to fix my pc.
