Actually, I've come across a couple sites that do "free portable application suites". You have the sysinternals 12mb suite of utilities. You have http://portableapps.com/ which I discovered by watching Leo Laporte's Twit network. Then from lifehacker you've got http://lifehacker.com/5502751/zeuapp...en-source-apps. The lifehacker one is apparently just open source stuff but I'm sure it's all good. Then again, you could always have a blast looking through sourceforge, http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/, http://www.techsupportalert.com/, http://www.filehippo.com/, or even places like softpedia if you just want to go on a free software binge.
Edit: Also if you'd like to add monpwr to the list that'd be cool. It's useful to those people who have laptops and can't turn off the screen or want the screen to remain turned off and not have to worry about accidentally brushing the track pad or mouse and turning it back on. Are all these programs free? I have no money at all.

All of these could actually fit on one single USB drive and that is what I'm going to do.
I'm using utorrent and ccleaner already, but i didn't expect there were this much softwares less than 2mb which serves a lot of purposes. You can add Miranda (chat client) in there as well. Does any of you have a list of useful portable applications? I could use one.. or many
