First off, you'd need more than one host. There has to be some sort of round table going on. Watching one host will be like watching a CS professor (ZZZZzzzz...).

Second, it would have to be very much community driven. Maybe a 5 - 10 minutes segment in the beginning about some coding technique or some algorithm, and then the next 30 minutes would be about viewer emails that ask them to either discuss something or explain something. Again, having more than one host would benefit this because one sided discussions on programming are boring as shit.

Third, it would be great if they would do something with languages that are less common. You've got your Python, your C, your C++, your Java, blah blah blah. We've seen that. That's boring shit 101, and the show would be redundant for most. But if they discuss stuff like Erlang, Io, Smalltalk, Lisp, Ocaml, etc, it would be amazingly interesting. To actually have some people (again, the benefit of multiple hosts) discussing the power of those fringe languages without having to go to a convention of special talk would be great and truly interesting.
Yeah, thats the ticket. I am not saying it would be easy, in fact I did say that I have no clue how to make it work, but I think it could.

I was giving my opinion on the general topic for the thread.

If you don't want any comments to you threads send an email to rev3.

So don't get rabbit ears and thinking that people want to argue with you! Everyone in this forum has the right to their own opinion without you jumping in and telling them they are WRONG. If I was to state a fact and that fact was wrong then I would be wrong. But I will not sit by and let someone tell me that my opinion is wrong. And how the heck do you get the right to call anyone a douche-bag? I think you should keep you opinion about someone personally to yourself.

I at least in my, at the moment, not so humble opinion feel a moderator should have a talk with you because in the rules of conduct it states:

3. Be kind to other members by showing respect to their opinions and feelings. Making false claims about a person or company is prohibited. The use of the Revision3 forums is a privilege, not a right. Having a negative attitude, being a snob, and flaming will not be tolerated anywhere.
DUDE! Chill out, relax. take a pill. If you read that post and did not take it tongue and cheek I feel for you. Thin skins are not good to have in a forum. That said, I apologize if I offended you. Lemme seperate that out and make it really clear:

I apologize if I offended you.

That was not the intent, I suppose some could take some of the bluster in that post seriously, but it was not intended so. Though I still think you missed the direction I want the show to take, I freely admit, now and in previous posts, that I have no Idea how to make it work, and indeed maybe it can't, though with many of the ideas put forth by others in this thread, I really think it is possible. I would love to hear input from the powers that be at Rev3, what they think, and if it is in the negative, why. Really, I want to know. There are many with your opinion to, and that is obviously not the crowd I am looking to touch. Then the crowed I do want to connect with just may not be big enough to make it work.

Peace Out Dude.

Certainly, would be neat, I do not think that is their cup of tea. MIT has free online classes for computing at:http://ocw.mit.edu/index.htm#. For the web programming, try: http://www.w3schools.com/html/default.asp

They could do some segments on Tekzilla once in a while but I don't think enough people would watch a show exclusively about programming every week. In the end it would be hardly profitable.
