You may think it were a step in the right direction, and that's your opinion. But you more than illustrated your unfamiliarity with the law when suggesting it deals with inappropriate gay activities rather than merely being gay. All I tried doing was explaining the issue wasn't what gay soldiers do in the bedroom, but simply the knowledge that a solider IS gay. You were misrepresenting the issue. You were taking it a step too far by taking the conversation straight to sex, when that wasn't the issue. I was just shocked to see a self described service men unfamiliar with this.

You brought it up as a means of invalidating my argument even though your service or my lack of service was irrelevant to the discussion at hand. I'm sorry, but I'm sick of this ridiculous sense of entitlement guys like you have in the service. We should go above and beyond taking care of our soldiers, but I'm so sick of hearing the tough guy attitude thrown up whenever something doesn't go your way. Speaking of tough guy attitude....

That you were incorrectly describing DADT as inappropriate discussions about homosexual activities on the job. The issue wasn't the discussion of gay sex. It was the public knowledge of a soldiers sexual orientation being homosexual.

You misunderstood me. I'm an American, I'm just not an IDIOT American. You know, the type who kisses the ass of guys like you who throw up their service in people's face at inappropriate moments when things don't go their way.

Again, that's not what I'm discussing. I was focusing on your incorrect portrayal of DADT.

Hey! Look! More logical fallacies! Simple math lesson. If you're older than me, you'll always be older than me. So today I'm only 22, what do I know? You're older than me. Then I'm 33, what do I know? You're older than me. Or perhaps I should find the opinion of someone older than you who agrees with my POV? Would that invalidate your POV because they're older than you? According to your logic, it would. Are you beginning to understand the issues with these logical fallacies?
