Default Wireless washout.

so i got a D-Link DIR-685 off of woot for about $80 for my new apartment. and it took me about 4 days to get it up and running. and this is not the first network i have set up. well about 3 days ago it died after 2 month. so what im getting at is i need a new router. i like Linksys. what i need is some thing that is super fast and has a super big range. there is a pool next to my apartment that i would love to use the laptop out there. i am willing to pay up to $150 and i looking at Linksys E4200 Wireless N Router but is open to other.

Buffalo routers seem faster than the rest, You just have to check the specs. You need to get the vendor to replace your unit if possible. There is a new wireless standard coming out soon that will rival hard wired networking. If you can wait it will be to your advantage. Routers running on high power can be less secure.
