Default App to show cell services

I was wanting some help to find A open source windows 7 App that shows all the cell phone signals from my wifi device, so I can see what providers are here. I live in A small town 30 miles away from any cell tower. Verizon & Tmobile seam to be here and sprint A 1/2 mile away, that does work in town.

I need to decide what is the best cell plan for my area please email me @ joel367@gmail.com

I also wanted to use it for internet

Wifi - 802.11abgn use low range 2.4, 3.6 and 5 GHz frequency bands

Code:
Current / Planned Technologies	Band	Frequency (MHz)
SMR iDEN, ESMR CDMA (future)	800	806-824 and 851-869
AMPS, GSM, IS-95 (CDMA), IS-136 (D-AMPS), 3G	Cellular	824-849 and 869-894
GSM, IS-95 (CDMA), IS-136 (D-AMPS), 3G	PCS	1850–1910 and 1930–1990
3G, 4G, MediaFlo, DVB-H	700 MHz	698-806
Unknown	1.4 GHz	1392–1395 and 1432–1435
3G, 4G	AWS	1710–1755 and 2110–2155
4G	BRS/EBS	2496–2690
So, your Wifi uses a different frequency to the CDMA, GSM, 3G, 4G, and every other frequency that cellular providers are using.

What you need to do is go to each carrier and look at their coverage maps. Even then, the strength of a signal you receive is also dependent upon on the handset you are using and where you are using it.

If you are in a rural area, don't expect "4G". You can get close to 4G speeds depending upon the handset, but don't bank on it.

Look at CDMA based models (Verizon or Sprint), they tend to works better in rural areas with greater distances between towers.

But, forget about trying to find a program to use your wifi to scan for cellular signals. The technology is incompatible, and you would be just as successful using a microwave oven to scan for signal strength.
