I thought you might be interested in this, a £15 ARM based Unix computer. Apparently Dave Braben is involved with this too.

If someone really wants to program, the platform will not matter. Last I heard they finally brought it out in beta. No production units yet as they had planned for xmas. Under $50 price point looks good.

Ha! Just seen the Hak5 crew on the Raspberry Pi website along with Ben Hack and 0x80. I guess we'll be seeing something about this here soon then (I hope).
