Free-to-Play
Hi All. Just wanted to see if we can start a discussion on Free-to-Play games. The Tribes: Ascend review is quite timely for me as I spent last weekend playing a number of free-to-play games. I've been quite impressed with the standard of quality a lot of these games deliver. I can't really comment just yet on the economics of each game, as I've really only scratched the surface but I have checked out Tribes:Ascend, Blacklight Retribution, Drakensang Online and Tiger Woods Online over the weekend. I would highly recommend each of them.
Tiger Woods and Drakensang don't even require a client. Tribes and Blacklight could compete on equal footing with AAA boxed releases. Anyone else had any recent experiences with free to play games?
