Thunderbird Help

HOLY CRAP!!! My Inbox disappeared!! I was going through emails 1 by 1 deleting them as I go & then after 2 messages my inbox suddenly went empty. Just my inbox, nothing else.

* Nothing from my inbox went to the trash, except for the 2 messages I actually deleted.
* Those emails did not move into another folder of any kind.

Is there anybody here in the forum that's a Thunderbird power user that could shed some light on this? I didn't loose anything important (thank god), still it bothers me not knowing why it happened. I do backup BTW, but since I didn't loose anything important I didn't bother with the backup. Still...even though, that does not explain what & why it happened.

Your Inbox is a file stored in your Tbird profile folder. Each mailbox is a separate file. It's possible there was some file corruption or some kind of issue with it. You might just try restarting tbird and maybe the inbox will reappear.

Thanks, I tried restarting & reinstalling. They didn't help.
