Lexicon

I currently own the Lexicon RV 8 AV receiver and was wondering if Logic 7 was beter for 5.1 DD/DTS play back than the straight decoding. I am able to engage L7 even though I only have a 5.1 Monitor Audio speaker set up. Thanks
