Default Windows 8 on flash drive

I watched the Tekzilla program that told about running Windows 8 from a 32GB flash drive. I purchased a 32GB flash drive just to give it a try. I downloaded the ISO from Microsoft. I used the instructions on this website.

http://arstechnica.com/business/2012...b-thumb-drive/

When I got to the step of copying the file install.wim to the hard drive, that's where I ran into trouble. I had burned the ISO to a disk. When copying the file to the hard drive, it would stop copying at 20 seconds remaining. After a bit, I would get the error message that the file could not be copies. I burned the ISO to two other disks and got the same error message. I tried copying the file on a different computer, and still got the same error message. I tried re-downloading the ISO. I still got the same error message.

Can anyone give me some help in getting this file copied? I really want to try this.

You could try using a Virtual Cd-Rom.

Try Magic Disc, or Magic ISO, I use both and have never written another CD / DVD.

Hope this helps you.

Unhappy Didn't work

I used Magic ISO. I get the error 'failed to read ISO' when extracting the file. It will extract everything except the install.wim file, which is the Windows image file. Has Microsoft put some sort of file protection on the image file?
