Flashbacks and the use of color grading ?

Hello,

I was wondering your opinion on the follow:

Should flashbacks use a different color grading to reflect a change in mood or should they remain consistent with the film? An example would be where the character remembers a happier moment in their past.

I would love to hear anyone's opinion on this and maybe some reasoning behind the choice for or against.
